ABOUT FORD TIRES
Ford's N-Series — 9N (1939–1942), 2N (1942–1947), 8N (1947–1952) — is the most-restored small farm tractor in America. Over half a million 8Ns rolled out of Highland Park alone, and the survivors are still working in pastures, on hobby farms, and at antique-tractor pulls every weekend in the summer.
The most-asked question on N-Series fronts is the 9N versus 8N split: 9Ns and pre-1952 8Ns shipped with 4.00-19 fronts on a 19-inch rim, and 1952+ 8Ns standardized on 5.50-16 — different rim, different tire. Rears on both are typically 10-28 stock, with 11.2-28 the modern equivalent most working tractors run today. If you're restoring to spec and want the right look on the rims, we'll talk through the options before you order.
