About this tire
This is the Kenda K500 Super Turf in 16x6.50-8, a 4-ply turf tire built for lawn and garden machines. We buy Kenda direct, and the K500 is the one we reach for on commercial mowers and heavy residential use. It carries a B load range at 620 lbs.
Siped lugs give you traction without tearing up the grass, so you keep footing on slopes and damp turf while leaving the lawn intact. There's more rubber on the contact surface than most turf tires in this size, which helps with puncture resistance and stretches tread life. Kenda offers this casing in a round-shoulder version for steering positions and a semi-square version for drive positions.
It mounts on an 8-inch rim with a 5.375 width, runs about 15.7 inches in overall diameter, and measures 7.0 inches across the section. It ships new and never mounted. This is a turf tread, so it's made for grass and soft ground; it won't bite into mud or loose dirt the way a knobby ag or ATV tire does.
