About this tire
This is the Kenda Polar Trac (K398) in 15x5.00-6, a 2-ply tire built for snow blowers and snow throwers. The tread is designed to bite into snow and ice, with micro-textured lugs that add grip on packed and slick surfaces. If you run a walk-behind snow blower and the stock tires spin out on your driveway, this is the swap.
It carries a Load Range A rating with a 365 lb load capacity and runs at 20 psi. Overall diameter is 14.6 inches and the section width is 5.0 inches, fitting a 6x3.5 rim. Kenda is the brand Greg buys direct, so we stock it deep.
Be honest with yourself about the use case: this tread is built for snow and soft, slick ground, and it is rated for non-highway use only. It will work on mud and ice, but it is not a smooth-riding turf or pavement tire. Tires ship new and never mounted.
